The click of a track invites me to sleep
While images of the world move on by.
Yet I cannot fall into a slumber deep,
For an earthly Venus has caught my eye.
Her nape is hidden by tendrils of gold,
A side of her cheek was all I could see.
She reached back putting those locks in her hold
And knotted them up so effortlessly.
Resuming her posture, she maintained her poise
Hiding away all the grace she had shown.
Unable to breathe, I could make no noise;
Twas’ the most gorgeous sight I’d ever known.
When all was still, she returned to the earth;
Unaware of how much her movement was worth.
